Apple Unveils Intel Mac Minis & Ipod Hi-Fi |

On Tuesday, Apple Inc. unveiled two new Mac Mini computers with Intel processors. The low-end version sells for $599 and has a single core 1.5GHz processor, 60GB hard drive and a combo DVD-ROM/CD-RW drive. A more expensive version is $799 and comes with a dual-core 1.67GHz "Core Duo" processor, an 80GB HD and a "SuperDrive" (DVD/CD-RW). Both computers come with 512MB RAM, Gigabit Ethernet, FireWire & four USB ports. In addition to the new Mac Minis, Apple unveiled its new $349 "home stereo quality" iPod Hi-Fi, which Jobs touted as higher quality than the speakers available today. The system has a iPod dock and an auxiliary port for iPod Shuffles or other devices.
