MaxConsole has revealed a good deal of information about the upcoming Nintendo Wii console, including some performance specs and functionality info. They say an anonymous developer sent them the specificatons. While the specs can't be taken as gospel, and certainly don't reveal everything about system performance, Wii's processing and graphical capabilities definitely appear to fall well short of the high bar set by the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 (as expected might I add). The fact that Nintendo has said so little of the system's specs this far into the process shows that the primary focus of Wii is definitely not high definition graphics (and if correct, these specs confirm this), however Nintendo has promised that the Wii will produce a very nice image on your television. It is obvious, from the predicted price ($199-$249) and the focus of Nintedo's ad campaigns, that the focus of Wii is fun, unique gameplay at an affordable price. For a complete rundown of the specs, you can visit MaxConsole's page on the new information.

Also, we have provided a nifty comparison table of the new consoles. If you're on the front page, simply click "Read more..." to see the table, and if you're on the article page, just look below.
